New Models for the Properties of Warm Mix Asphalt with Sasobit

Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) is a set of technologies that uses additives to reduce binder viscosity and increase mixture workability, which provides complete coating aggregates at lower temperatures around 100 °C 130 °C. Organic wax or Sasobit one the can be used for this purpose. It reduces melting point wax, allows production asphalt mixes temperatures. This attempt proposes new relationships elastic modulus, indirect tensile strength (in dry wet conditions), dynamic fatigue, rutting resistance WMA samples with various percentages. Findings show improves modulus elasticity, resistance. However, it lessens slightly. Although enhances flexural stiffness, drops number loading cycles, means fatigue Results also showed 20 10 Hz frequency, resilient stiffness improved 53%, 27%, 39%, respectively, compared HMA. Rutting 60 226% in 6% HMA mix.
